The First Responder Support Network provides retreats, training, and ongoing support to help first responders and their families cope with the trauma and stress stemming from routinely responding to critical incidents. Erin Henke, its executive director, will give us an inside look at the Network and how it helps with Emergency Responder Exhaustion Syndrome, similar to compassion fatigue.

Before becoming executive director last July, Ms. Henke, CAE, worked in leadership positions with the California Medical Association, Santa Clara County Medical Association, and SF Marin Medical Society. She was POLST program director for CCCC from 2009 to 2013 and director of communication for Hospice by the Bay from 2002 to 2009.
