Join us to hear how 24 years of working in homecare have generated passion and commitment to end-of-life care. This is especially significant for those of Chinese heritage. Quanhong Qiu (Cho) will share with Connie Borden many of the stories from these 24 years. These stories serve to remind her, her team, and those around her to treasure time. They encourage a focus on what truly matters. Cho will show how she and her team assess and respect cultural beliefs. She will share some audio tapes of Buddhist chanting that some of her clients have found helpful. She will discuss other innovative tools her team uses to guide families and clients to achieve a peaceful death.
Quanhong Qiu (Cho) is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Compassionate Community Care (compassionatehomecare.org). Cho holds a master’s degree in Gerontology. She now serves as a member of the Board of Directors of SF Village. She is also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and completed professional home care manager training more than two decades ago.
